Privacy Policy
YURAX Resort (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), which operates the Echigo-Yuzawa Onsen Garden Tower Hotel, establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) regarding the handling of privacy information in the services provided on this website (hereinafter referred to as “the Service”).
Article 1 (Privacy Information)
“Personal information” within the scope of privacy information refers to “personal information” as defined by the Personal Information Protection Act. It denotes information concerning living individuals that can identify a specific individual through the name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact information, or other descriptions contained within such information.
Within privacy information, “History Information and Characteristics Information”
refers to information other than the “Personal Information” defined above.
This includes the services you used, the products you purchased, the history
of pages and advertisements you viewed, search keywords you entered, the
date and time of use, the method of use, the usage environment, postal
code, gender, occupation, age, your IP address, cookie information, location
information, and device identification information.
Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Privacy Information)
When users register for our services, we may ask for personal information such as their name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account number, credit card number, and driver's license number. We may also collect transaction records containing users' personal information made between users and our partners (including information providers, advertisers, and ad recipients; hereinafter referred to as “Partners”), as well as payment-related information from such Partners.
We may collect information about users, including the services and software they used, products they purchased, pages and advertisements they viewed, search keywords they entered, usage dates and times, usage methods, usage environment (including the communication status of the device when using via a mobile device and various settings information during use), IP address, cookie information, location information, device identification information, and other history and characteristic information when the user uses our or our partners' services or views pages.
Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The purposes for which our company collects and uses personal information are as follows:
(1) To display registration information such as name, address, contact details, and payment method; information regarding services used or products purchased; and related payment details, enabling users to view and modify their registration information and review their usage history.
(2) To use contact information such as name and address for sending notices or communications to users via email, shipping products to users, or contacting users as necessary.
(3) To use information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, bank account number, credit card number, driver's license number, and delivery confirmation results for identity verification purposes.
(4) To bill users for charges, including the names and quantities of purchased products, the types, duration, and frequency of services used, the amount billed, and payment-related information such as name, address, bank account number, or credit card number
(5) To enable users to input data conveniently, including displaying information registered with us on input screens and transferring such information to other services (including those provided by partners) based on user instructions
(6) To refuse service to users who violate the Terms of Service, such as by delaying payment or causing damage to third parties, or who attempt to use the service for fraudulent or improper purposes, by using usage patterns and personally identifiable information such as name and address
(7) To respond to user inquiries, we use information necessary for providing services to users, such as inquiry content and billing information, as well as user service usage status and contact information.
(8) For purposes incidental to the above purposes of use.
Article 4 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
We will not provide personal information to third parties without the user's prior consent, except in the following cases. However, this excludes cases permitted by the Personal Information Protection Act or other laws and regulations.
(1) When required by law
(2) When necessary to protect human life, body, or property, and obtaining the individual's consent is difficult
(3) When particularly necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound development of children, and obtaining the individual's consent is difficult
(4) When cooperation is necessary for a national agency, local government, or their entrusted party to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the individual's consent may hinder the performance of such duties

Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the following shall not be deemed third parties:
(1) When the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to a third party within the scope necessary to achieve the purpose of use
(2) When personal information is provided due to a business succession resulting from a merger or other reason
(3) When personal information is jointly used with specific parties, provided that the individual has been notified in advance or placed in a position to readily learn: the fact of joint use, the items of personal information to be jointly used, the scope of parties jointly using the information, the purpose of use by such parties, and the name of the party responsible for managing the personal information.
Article 5 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
When requested by an individual to disclose their personal information, our company shall disclose it to the individual without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following categories, we may withhold all or part of the information. Should we decide not to disclose, we shall notify the individual accordingly without delay. Please note that a fee of ¥1,000 per request will be charged for personal information disclosure.
(1) Where disclosure may harm the life, body, property, or other rights and interests of the individual or a third party
(2) Where disclosure may significantly impede the proper execution of our business operations
(3) Where disclosure would otherwise violate laws or regulations
Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, information other than personal
information, such as usage history and characteristic information, will
not be disclosed in principle.
Article 6 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
ユUsers may request the correction or deletion of their personal information
held by the Company through the procedures established by the Company if
they believe such information is incorrect.
Upon receiving a request from a user as described in the preceding paragraph
and determining that the request should be honored, the Company shall promptly
correct or delete the relevant personal information and notify the user
accordingly.
Article 7(Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.)
If an individual requests the suspension or deletion of the use of their personal information (hereinafter referred to as "suspension of use, etc.") on the grounds that such information is being handled beyond the scope of its intended purpose or was obtained by improper means, the Company shall promptly conduct the necessary investigation. Based on the results of this investigation, the Company shall suspend the use of the personal information and notify the individual accordingly. However, if the suspension of use, etc., would incur substantial costs or is otherwise difficult to implement, and if alternative measures necessary to protect the rights and interests of the individual can be taken, we will implement these alternative measures.
Article 9(Room Usage Hours)

1. Guests may use their hotel rooms from 3:00 PM until 10:00 AM the following day. However, this may vary depending on your accommodation plan, so please confirm. For consecutive stays, guests may use their rooms throughout the day, excluding the arrival and departure dates.
2. Notwithstanding the preceding paragraph, the hotel may permit use of
guest rooms outside the hours specified therein. In such cases, the following
additional charges will apply: ¥3,500 per room per hour (including service
charge and tax).
Article 8 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
The contents of this policy may be changed without notice to users.
Unless otherwise specified by the Company, the revised Privacy Policy shall
take effect upon its posting on this website.
